EMCK is Denise Beeler Jones (Dee) and Jeffrey L. Jones, with a combined
31 years experience as public school educators, researchers, professional
development providers, and students of educational research, policy, and
implementation.
Dee is currently a strand manager for the Kentucky Teacher Quality KTIP Pilot Program, a federally funded grant initiative through the Educational Professional Standards Board. She has 7 years experience in the secondary classroom, with an additional 6 years in policy and support roles. She was previously with the University of Kentucky Office of Field Experience and School Collaboration, where she managed the Consortium of Overseas Student Teaching program. She has been recognized as a skilled educator many times by her students and peers.
Jeff is a 18-year veteran of the public schools. During his professional career he has taught mathematics and computer science, and been a school technology coordinator, and both a school and district-wide technology resource teacher. His pursuits range from ground-level resource development through his online initiatives to policy analysis and implementation through his district responsibilities, and participation in professional organizations including KATC, ISTE, AECT, NSBA, and PDK. Jeff also has a degree in music theory and composition, and has extensive experience in the design and production of all types of media, including Web delivered content, video, music and sound, as well as interactive multimedia.
