After a hard-fought year, many teachers clean up their
rooms, turn in their grade books, set that "Out of Office" reply
on their email, and happily disappear for 2 months of earned rest! If that's
you, and you don't want your copies of "The Help Desk" to
accumulate, send us a note, and we'll hold them until you return.

A service of the Wheeling Jesuit University in
collaboration with NASA, the ETE site has complete instructional
modules on the subject of ". . . human activities and their
impact on the environment." Some of the instructional modules are

A non-profit project based in Chicago, this site
is the Web presence of an archival project aimed at
African-Americans in history. Included are historical and
biographical notes, with interviews delivered as video streams in a
variety of formats and qualities. Well-constructed, and interesting! |

Telecommunications Network Commission, among others, this site is
maintained by ThinkTVNetwork. It provides resources and support for the
writing of narratives from a journalist perspective. Included are stories
on journalism through history, linked resources, hints on style . . . and
lots more! Middle-school specific! |

Blender is a fully-functioning 3d animation creation
environment. It is powerful enough to generate animations and movies which
rival anything you see on video or the Web. It has one substantial advantage over
other such products - it's free for download! Dense, but at that price,
worth the trouble! |
