Announcing...
The
Summer Teacher Academies! This edition of The Help Desk
is a complete listing of the Academies offered for 2004. For those who have
never attended one (most recipients of this newsletter are past attendees)...in
general, they are offered as 5 day experiences, with an additional two days for
follow-up. They are aimed at giving teachers a hands-on experience creating,
developing, and modeling standards-based instructional content, learning more in
a teacher's subject area, and establishing a learning community in support of
developing teacher's leadership skills. Most pay a stipend. Deadlines for
most of the Academies are late April through mid May. Be sure to sign up soon! Click
