Olympics Lesson Plans for Teachers |
Educational
Materials from the Official 2004 Summer Olympic Games Website
http://www.athens2004.com/
Like a lot of websites these days, the Web address directly to the
teaching resource page of this, the official games site, is too long to
print.
Click here to go there directly, or
browse the following sequence of steps from the above link: Get
Involved/Youth 2004/Library(Educational Programme in Olympism)/Olympic
Education Materials. The site offers several large PDF-format
activity and information sheets on the Summer Games aimed at several
grade level clusters, from 6-9 year old to high school. There is also a
173-page fairy tale bursting with information about Greece, the Games,
and its various participants. Look under
The Olympic Games are Inspiring! for pictures of class activities
from around the globe. |
