These fee-based PD courses are anytime, anywhere, delivered to your browser in the comfort of your own home! (Don't forget...in Kentucky, PD credit is awarded by schools - check with your PD committee chair or principal before taking one of these offerings.)

http://www.eyeofscience.de

This wonderful collection of stunning visual images produced by electron microscopy, underwater photography, and other technologies qualifies as both fascinating art, and descriptive science. It's the work of German photographer Oliver Meckes and biologist Nicole Ottawa. Be sure to look at every page of the site...there are a lot of images!

Health/ Practical Living Sustainable TableThe Sustainable Table

http://www.sustainabletable.org/

This resource of the Global Resource Action Center for the Environment strongly reflects the environmental and political leanings of its developer. There are informational pages on a variety of subjects, but for us, the most important resource is the collection of links to lesson plans under "Teacher Resources," linked in "Sustainable Foods in Schools."

Math National Math TrailThe National Math Trail

http://www.nationalmathtrail.org/

From the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education, with funding from the US Department of Education, NEC, and Verizon, this resource is an attempt to create a clearinghouse of mathematics problems based on regional issues. Membership is free, and submissions are accepted from anywhere. The submitted problems are browseable by state or country, and there are some math-related technology tutorials on the site.
