Introduction: How to use this narrative

This narrative is based on real interns in real dilemmas. It consists of a dozen or so scenarios, with choices after each one. Please see the course instructions on how to complete the narrative, and how to collaborate in examining your choices. This introduction is only about the technical aspects of negotiating this website.

Move your mouse...Navigation: The narrative simulation should be done in sequence. "Previous" and "Next" buttons occur at the bottom of each page. For instant access to any scenario, use the side menu at left.

Glossary: When a word appears in  red, it is defined. Place your mouse pointer over it and the definition will appear. A complete list of defined terms can be found in the glossary included with your course outline in KyEducators.org.

Question Feedback: You should make your selection, then click "Forward" at the bottom of the page. If you are doing these questions in collaboration with another students, be sure to discuss each scenario with him/her before submitting an answer. If you intend to collaborate at a later time on your response, print out the feedback page which appears after you make your selection before going on.

Sample Question: Will I need to maintain my KyEducators.org chat page open as I go through the narrative?

1. No. The narrative is a stand-alone exercise.

2. Yes. You will need to use it to chat with your peers.

3. This depends on what choices you made when you began the course.

If you are collaborating with another participant for this simulation, discuss your choice with him/her in the chat or forum area of KyEducators.org before going forward.
